Getting Ready for the Start of the Season

Following the recent announcement by the East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) about the start of the athletic season, here are a few important steps for all student-athletics interested in participating:

1.) Athletic Clearance – All student-athletes must be cleared in order to try out for any sport. Go to and follow all of the necessary steps outlined in the portal. If you have any questions or issues, contact LouAnne Crawford at or (925) 833-3300×7105.

2.) Contacting the Head Coach – The list below includes the contact information for each of our athletic programs at DHS, along with start dates if they have been determined:

Note – Hip Hop and Competition/Sideline Cheer have already started, while start dates for other club sports such as Hockey and Cricket are TBD.

3.) Frequently Visit our Website – The official start dates and tryout times/locations for each sport will be posted on the Athletics website at, and the page will be updated regularly. Considering that sports may start the moment our County reaches the designated COVID tier, it is recommended that those interested in participating check for updates frequently in the coming months to make sure they don’t miss anything.
