In Dublin’s second and final meet at the Wave Aquatics Center against Valley Division opponents, Dublin was able to defeat Amador Valley by a combined score of 184-149 on the afternoon of Friday, March 19th.
The Gaels were powered to victory by strong performances in the Girls’ 100-Yard Freestyle, the Girls’ 100-Yard Breastroke, the Girls’ 100-yard Intermedley, and the Girls’ 50-Yard Freestyle, as they captured the top three places in each of those events. Dublin also claimed the top two spots in the Girls’ 200-Yard Medley Relay, the Girls’ 100-Yard Buterfly, the Girls’ 100-Yard Backstroke, and the Girls’ 400-Yard Freestyle Relay.
Although both the 2020 and 2021 campaigns were shortened due to the pandemic, it is worth noting that for the first time in school history Dublin was able to finish undefeated. Dublin is looking to build off of that success in 2021-2022, with its aquatics program also looking to lay the foundation for potentially fielding Water Polo teams in 2022-2023.
In Cross Country, the Dublin Varsity Boys’ team finished its season on March 20th with a 3rd place finish in the Tri-Valley Meet of Champions while the Varsity Girls posted a 5th place finish. The Meet was the fourth in a series of meets the program hosted throughout the year, with races starting and ending in the Stadium while going throughout the entirety of the 46-acre campus.
