The Dublin High Girls Basketball program remains unbeaten at all levels through the first two weeks of the season. Dublin’s Varsity team improved to 4-0 and the Junior Varsity team is now 5-0 after both squads swept Foothill in home-and-home games over the weekend of May 7-8.
In Friday night’s tilt at Foothill, Kendra Grant led the way with 20 points and Rachel Grier added 10 points as Dublin pulled away in a game tied 36-36 at the end of the 3rd quarter before outscoring the Falcons 15-7 in the final period en route to a 51-43 victory. The following night (May 8th) in the Sports Complex, the Gaels controlled the game throughout and led by as many as 18 points before eventually posting a 56-45 win. Grant and Grier again led the way with 18 points apiece.
The Gaels have a big test coming up on Friday, May 14th when they travel to face defending North Coast Section champion San Ramon Valley. Dublin’s next home contest (which will be broadcast on GaelsTV) is on Saturday, May 22nd at 7:00 p.m. against Granada
