The Dublin High School Varsity Boys Soccer team defeated Dougherty Valley 4-0 in their season finale on May 24th to finish the season atop the EBAL Valley Division with an overall record of 4-0-1. The Gaels lone tie was to Amador Valley, but the Dons dropped a decision to Granada (whom Dublin beat 2-1 in the opener), so the Gaels had the best record in its division. Dublin outscored its opponents 11-3 this season while pitching two shutouts and never allowing an opponent to score more than one goal in any match.
In the victory over the Wildcats on Senior Night, the Gaels got on the board in the opening minutes of the match on a goal by Jared Cohen off of an assist from Caede McMahon. Aldo Montiel scored on a penalty kick before halftime to give Dublin a 2-0 advantage heading into the break. Jordan Minor scored a goal off an assist from Jayden Nguyen to break the match open, and Galen Spies scored unassisted to put the game away and give Dublin its final margin of victory.
