Farmer Invitational – Saturday, September 11, 2021 – Hayward High School, Hayward – In their first real cross country race in nearly two years, the Dublin Gaels Varsity Boys Team finished right where they left off the last time they raced at Hayward High School at the North Coast Section Championships in 2019 on the top of the medal stand including defeating East Bay Athletic League rival Dougherty Valley in the process. They were led by senior Sharvin Manjrekar, who was barely out-leaned at the finish line to take second with a huge personal record (PR) time of 15:25, which was 50 seconds than his previous best performance at the course. But the PR parade didn’t stop there – the next five members also set PRs and medaled at the same time – seniors Cole Turpin (5th – 15:47), Joshua Turpin (6th – 15:48), Adrian Tran (11th – 16:08), Matthew Morgon (12th – 16:09) and junior Nathan Manesh (24th – 16:21). Returning from injury and rounding out the team was senior Daniel Trampe (27th – 16:26).
Not to be outdone was the Junior Varsity Boys Team who claimed the championship in their race. They also boasted individual winner senior Vincent Giannini (16:49) and medalists seniors Sharva Santhakumar (5th – 17:51), Alex Martinez (14th – 18:32) and Conan Wang (16th – 18:40); and junior Advait Jagannathan (10th – 18:17). Sophomore Enkhtaivan Burrows (20:50) finished up the placing for the Gaels.
