The Dublin High School Varsity Girls Golf Team had an impressive performance under soggy conditions at the Diablo Creek Golf Course in the North Coast Section Division I Tournament on November 1st.
Senior Jessie Burch led the way by shooting a 1-over-Par 73 in the 18-hole event, finishing just two strokes back from qualifying for the CIF State Tournament. As a team, Dublin shot a 430 and finished in 6th place out of the 21 teams who qualified for the tournament from the 66 Division I schools within the North Coast Section.
The Gaels finished the season 10-8 overall, which is a remarkable accomplishment considering that the top 5 finishers within NCS Division I all hail from the EBAL (Foothill, Amador Valley, Dougherty Valley, Carondelet, Monte Vista). In addition, the team only loses 3 seniors, so the future of the program looks exceptionally bright as well.
