Dublin High School’s Varsity Girls Tennis team officially ended on Saturday, and the program has a lot to be proud of as it wraps up another successful campaign. This was the 3rd consecutive season that the program posted a winning record, finishing with an overall mark of 11-7 overall and tied for 4th in the East Bay Athletic League.
In terms of individual accomplishments, there were several players who did well at the EBAL Tournament. Jessica Holbea ended up finishing 2nd overall by reaching the finals of the Singles draw, a run highlighted by a 3-set Semifinal victory over the #2 seed from Monte Vista. Doubles pair Ekaterina Lokteva-Jahnvi Reddy advanced to the Semifinals of the NCS Doubles Qualifying Tournament, while Soha Ahmed also posted a tournament victory.
Late-season injuries prevented the team an opportunity to participate in the NCS Team Tennis Tournament, but there is a great foundation of success to build from for the future.
