The Winter Sports season has arrived at Dublin High School with the Varsity Girls Soccer team taking on Irvington of Fremont at Fallon Sports Park on November 17th in the first official contest. If Wednesday night’s performance is an indication of things to come, then Gaels fans have a lot to get excited about as Dublin posted a 10-0 victory.
Isabella Alvarez was the driving force behind Dublin’s offensive explosion by scoring 4 goals in the first half alone to help lead the Gaels to a 5-0 advantage over the Vikings at the break. Yusra Rabi provided several assists, including one to Ashley Annis to open the scoring in the match’s opening minutes. Annis finished with two goals on the night along with Emma San.
Following up on Wednesday’s win, the Gaels took the field the following night at Fallon Sports Park to knock off Mission San Jose of Fremont 4-1. The victory improves the team’s mark to 2-0 heading into the Thanksgiving break.
The Gaels will be back in action at Dublin High School on Thursday, December 2nd at 6:00 p.m. and will be taking on American High School of Fremont.
