The Dublin High School Varsity Boys Basketball team begins its 2021-2022 season tonight as it takes on Campolindo at 8:30 p.m. in the NorCal Tipoff Classic in the DHS Sports Complex.
Dublin comes into the game as the Bay Area’s 3rd-ranked team following last year’s pandemic-shortened 11-3 season, while Campolindo is the region’s top ranked team after going 15-0 in the spring. The Gaels and Cougars most recent contest was on February 26, 2020 in the North Coast Section Open Division Semifinals, a game in which Dublin prevailed at home to advance to the NCS Championship game. Both teams return several of their top players, so the highly anticipated matchup promises to be a good one.
The game between Dublin and Campolindo is the final game of an 8-game slate matching up some of Northern California’s top teams (the full schedule of games is below). Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and are only available at the door. Although the games are taking place at Dublin High School, this is not considered a home contest as we are simply providing the venue. Therefore, DHS Athletic Boosters Digital Sports passes and ASB stickers will not be accepted for admission. Attendees should also be prepared to show proof of vaccination at the door.
In addition, the game will not be live-streamed like most home contests on GaelsTV. However, a live-stream of the game is available for those unable to attend and can be accessed at https://www.ballertv.com/events/14th-annual-nor-cal-tip-off-classic
