Dublin High has a lot of early success in the Winter Sports Season as its Freshmen and Junior Varsity teams have gotten off to fast starts in multiple sports.
The Dublin High School Freshmen Boys Basketball team is 3-1 while averaging nearly 70 points per game. Dublin finished in second place at the Ygnacio Valley Tournament behind the strong play of Jordan Morganstein and Damase Coly, both whom earned All-Tournament honors. In the semi-final victory, Morganstein led the way with 24 points while Coly chipped in 16. Aaron Adamos had 5 steals and Ramir Ramore contributed 11 rebounds to lead Dublin to the finals.
Dublin’s Junior Varsity Girls team also went 2-1 in tournament action at Mission San Jose High School. The JV Boys Basketball team also had a big season-opening victory at home against Antioch on Friday night. The Freshmen Girls will be having their season opener on December 8th at home against Mountain House (4:30)
On the soccer pitch, Dublin’s JV Boys are 2-0 following a 5-1 win against Deer Valley on Saturday afternoon, and the JV Girls are also off to a fast start following a big win over American. The Freshmen Boys scheduled a nonleague match at Dougherty Valley and prevailed as well.
