There were a lot of positive vibes on the campus of Dublin High School this weekend as the Gaels’ Varsity teams all won their home contests.
The weekend started with the Varsity Girls Soccer team overcoming a slow start to defeat Kennedy High School of Fremont by a score of 5-0. Dublin had a narrow 1-0 advantage at the half before running away with the match after scoring 4 second half goals. The team remains undefeated at 3-0-1 on the season heading into a week where they will travel to face Pittsburg on December 7th before returning home to face Rancho Cotate on Thursday, December 9th (6:00)
Dublin High School’s Varsity Boys Basketball team jumped out to a fast start and cruised to an 81-39 win over Antioch. Courtney Anderson Jr. led all scorers with 21 points and Corbin McMillan added 13 to propel the Gaels offensively. On the defensive end, the Gaels press caused problems for the Panthers by forcing several turnovers. Dublin heads into the week ranked #2 in the Bay Area as it seeks to defend its title (2019) at the prestigious Gridley Invitational Basketball Tournament.
The Varsity Boys Soccer team capped a successful weekend by defeating Deer Valley 5-1. The team is now 2-0 on the season heading into a home contest against Vintage on Wednesday, December 8th (7:15) at Gaels Stadium.
