The Dublin High Varsity Boys Basketball will be playing its 3rd and final game in the prestigious Gridley Invitational Basketball Tournament (GIBT). against Sheldon at 3:30 p.m. and you can watch all of the action on GaelsTV. This marks Dublin’s 7th appearance in the invitation-only event.
Dublin dropped its opening game against Sacramento High on Thursday before rallying back in the second half to defeat Salesian 73-63 on Friday. The Gaels outscored the Pride 27-11 in the 3rd quarter to turn a 37-29 halftime deficit into a lead in which it would never relinquish.
The winner of today’s matchup between Dublin and Sheldon will claim this year’s Consolation championship. This is a rematch of the final game of the 2020 season in the CIF Norcal Open Division Semifinals which the Gaels dropped 60-58 before a raucous crowd in the DHS Sports Complex.
