Due to the rise in COVID cases caused by the omicron variant, some additional athletic contests have been postponed this week.
The Wrestling team’s away Dual Meet at Dougherty Valley (January 11th) and their Home Wrestling Dual Meet against Foothill that was originally scheduled for Thursday, January 13th has been pushed back by two weeks. Dublin’s Dual Meet at Dougherty Valley has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 25th and the meet at home against the Falcons will take place on Thursday, January 27th. Both Dual Meets will have JV starting at 6:00 followed by Varsity starting at 7:00.
Despite losing two dual meets this week, the Wrestling team was able to pick up an additional competition on Saturday. They will now be competing in the Mat Classic at Granada High School. The Dual Meet at Amador Valley that was postponed last week is still TBD in terms of the make-up date.
The Dublin High Varsity Boys Basketball team also has three scheduling changes this week. Their EBAL home opener against Livermore on Friday, January 14th has been postponed. In addition, the rescheduled game at Amador Valley that was slated to take place on Saturday, January 15th has also been pushed back again. New dates and times for the contests against both the Cowboys and Dons are still TBD. The Varsity was able to salvage a game for Saturday though. Instead of traveling to face Amador Valley they will now be going on the road to face Willow Glen High School of San Jose at 4:00.
On the Girls’ side, the home triple header against Amador Valley that was rescheduled for this Saturday, January 15th has now been postponed again. However, the double header at Livermore on Friday, January 14th will be played with the JV tipping off at 5:30 followed by the Varsity game at 7;00.
Dublin’s Freshmen and JV Boys Basketball teams have not been impacted by the recent postponements. They will both still be hosting Livermore on Friday, January 14th (4:00, 5:30) followed by contests the following afternoon at Amador Valley (2:00, 3:30).
