Dublin High School’s Wrestling team had a great showing in the North Coast Section Wrestling Tournament, with several student-athletes posting multiple victories and 2 making it to the finals for their weight class in the annual event at James Logan High School in Union City on February 18-19.
Henry Baalman had a particularly dominating performance in the 138lb division, relinquishing just one point in six matches en route to a North Coast Section title. Dakodah Hazen finished in second place in the 160lb division, and both Baalman and Hazen will represent Dublin High in the CIF State Wrestling Meet taking place from February 24-26 in Bakersfield.
Other wrestlers who posted winning marks in the NCS Tournament include Navjot Waraich, Marissa Macias, and Lucy Tao all went 3-2, while Sanjana Alluri, George Yu, and Bradley Freitas all went 2-2 against high-level competition.
