In what was arguably the most successful two-day stretch of the 2021-2022 athletic season, multiple programs closed out last week with victories.
The Boys Volleyball team improved to 9-4 in East Bay Athletic League action with wins on the road at Monte Vista and San Ramon Valley. The victory over the Wolves avenged a home loss earlier in the year and came in dramatic fashion, with the Gaels coming out on top 15-11 in the match’s decisive 5th set. Dublin’s victory over Monte Vista also came in somewhat dramatic fashion as Aditya Das sank a 50-foot put on the final hole to seal the win.
Other teams that came away with victories on Thursday included the Girls Lacrosse team and Badminton teams. Girls Lacrosse defeated Livermore 15-8 while the Badminton team knocked off Amador Valley 12-5.
In Friday’s action, the Baseball team improved to 10-7-1 on the season with a 6-2 win over West, while the Swim team posted a big win over Livermore.
Two teams whose games were postponed due to rain were Boys Tennis and Softball. The timing of the rainout was unfortunate for the Boys Tennis team, as they were battling an undefeated Amador Valley squad even through the first 8 matches, with Dublin taking the first set in four of them while the Dons claimed the first set in the other 4. The two teams will be finishing their match at Dublin on Friday, April 22nd at 4:00, while the Softball team will make up their game at San Ramon Valley on Wednesday, April 20th at 4:00 p.m.
