Tennis and Cross Country Compete in NCS

The week leading into Thanksgiving Break saw some of Dublin’s top student-athletes compete in North Coast Section (NCS) events.

Freshman Maya Peav qualified for the NCS Division 1 Girls Singles Tournament at James Logan High School following her 2nd place finish in the East Bay Athletic League (EBAL). Peav had a tough draw as she was matched up against #1 seed Caroline Beard of Montgomery, giving her all she could handle in the 1st set before eventually falling 6-4, 6-0. Beard would go onto the Finals before losing to Amador Valley’s Montana Parkinson, the same player that Peav battled in the EBAL Championship.

In the NCS Cross Country Championships, Dublin saw three runners qualify for the CIF State Meet as Melia Prenton and Elissa Delgado were among the top finishers on the Girls side and Nathan Manesh finished near the top in the Boys race. All three runners will represent Dublin on Saturday, November 26th in the Division 1 race at Woodward Park in Fresno on November 26th.
