Basketball Teams Go 4-0 in Holiday Tournament Action on Thursday, 2 Titles at Stake on Friday

Following tough losses in holiday tournament action on Wednesday, both the Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball bounced back to post victories on Thursday. The Girls (7-4) defeated Valley of Sacramento on its home court in West Coast Jamboree action 65-24, while the Boys (10-5) knocked off Canyon of Anaheim in the Platinum Division of the prestigious Classic at Damien 69-59.

Dublin’s Varsity Girls will play host to the Consolation Final of the West Coast Jamboree’s Pearl Division in the Sports Complex TODAY (Friday, December 30th) at 1:30 p.m. Since this is a tournament, Athletic Boosters Digital Sports Passes and ASB stickers will not admit people for free. In addition, tickets cannot be purchased online and can only be bought with cash at the door ($10 for adults, $5 for students). For those unable to attend today’s game, it will be livestreamed at BallerTV (not GaelsTV). Following Dublin’s game, there will be four additional Platinum Division games taking place in the Sports Complex in what promises to be an exciting day of high-level action.

The Varsity Boys Basketball team has little time to rest before its next game, as they are slated to face Santa Margarita at 10:00 a.m. this morning. The game will be live-streamed on the NFHS Network.

In other highlights from Thursday, the Junior Varsity and Freshmen Boys Basketball teams will both be playing for local tournament championships TONIGHT. The JV team avenged a 3-point loss from earlier this season in a big way by defeating Bellarmine 64-46 in the San Ramon Valley Tournament, and are facing the host Wolves at 6:30. Meanwhile, the Frosh defeated former DFAL rival Campolindo, and will be playing for the championship of the Dougherty Valley Tourney tonight at 7:30
