The Dublin High Varsity Boys Volleyball team finished one of its best seasons in school history after defeating Dougherty Valley 3-0 in their season finale on Tuesday. After compiling an overall record of 19-4 overall and 11-2 in East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) play, the Gaels ended the season atop the EBAL Valley Division and are the #1 seed entering the EBAL playoffs.
As the EBAL Valley Division’s top team, the Gaels will open up the playoffs by hosting the #2 top from the EBAL Mountain Division (San Ramon Valley) in the Semifinals on Thursday, April 27th at 7:00 p.m.
If Dublin wins their Semifinal match against San Ramon Valley, the Gaels will host the winner of the Foothill/De La Salle match on Friday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m. The winner of EBAL will likely earn the #1 seed in the North Coast Section (NCS) Division 1 playoffs that begin next week, but regardless of the outcome of the EBAL playoffs the Gaels are well-positioned for a very high seed and a potential run at an NCS title.
