Boys Volleyball Advances to NCS Semifinals

The Dublin High School Boys Volleyball team defeated American High School of Fremont 25-17, 25-16, 25-15 to advance to the North Coast Section Division 1 Semifinals. Thursday night’s match was the first Boys Volleyball NCS game hosted by Dublin since 2001

The first set was fairly close, and American was within a 19-17 margin before the Gaels rattled off six straight points to pull away. Each of the next two sets were close early before Dublin similarly went on a late run to take control of a match which saw the entire roster contribute.

The #2 seeded Gaels will host the defending NCS champion and 3rd-seeded Amador Valley on Tuesday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. Dublin defeated Amador Valley in both of their regular season matches by a 3-1 margin. If the Gaels prevail, they will face the winner of the Foothill-Granada match for the NCS Championship on May 11th.
