After winning the first ever league title in the program’s history, the Dublin High Girls Tennis team secured an automatic bid into the North Coast Section playoffs and was awarded a 1st Round Home Playoff match!
Dublin was given the #8 seed and is slated to host #9 seed Northgate High School of Walnut Creek and the Diablo Athletic League on Tuesday, November 7th starting at 2:00 p.m. The early start time is necessary at schools who have courts without lights, as matches are played under a format where a full 3-set match may be necessary.
This is only the second appearance of the Girls Tennis team in the NCS playoffs in school history, and the first time the Gaels have ever hosted a postseason match. The last time Dublin made NCS was in 2003, where it lost at Foothill 5-2.
If Dublin prevails, the Gaels will likely travel to face #1 seed Monte Vista on Thursday, November 9th.
