Dublin Cross Country Teams Succeed at EBAL Meet, Gear Up for NCS Next Weekend

The Dublin High Boys’ and Girls’ Cross-Country teams traveled to Newhall Park in Concord on November 4th to compete in the East Bay Athletic League Championship meet.

Top performance of the day was from the Frosh-Soph team as they came in first place. The Junior Varsity team took home second place, and Varsity took home fifth place. Congratulations to Aidan Stone and Tristan Gan for making the all-league team.

On the Girls’ side, the Frosh/Foph came in fourth place, and Varsity took home fifth place. Congratulations to Melina Prenton and Sabrina Noriega for making the all-league team.

Many of Dublin’s runners are peaking at the right time as they gear up for the North Coast Section (NCS) Championships at Hayward High School taking place on Saturday, November 18th at 9:00 a.m.. The course at Hayward is a familiar one for the Gaels, as they have already competed there this season at two meets. Considering that teams are sorted strictly by enrollment-based Divisions at NCS, with a strong performance both the Boys and Girls teams can still qualify for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Meet.
