The Dublin High Varsity Boys Basketball team won its official home opener on Tuesday, November 28th, defeating Newark Memorial 83-28. Dublin jumped out to a 39-12 halftime advantage and never looked back.
One of the key highlights in the game was the way that the Gaels showcased their tremendous depth, as every player suited up for the game scored. It was also a dominant performance for Dublin defensively, as the team forced numerous turnovers to score in transition. Dublin’s Junior Varsity and Freshmen teams also won, making it an even better night for the Gaels.
The Dublin Boys Varsity Boys Basketball team will be back in action next Tuesday, December 5th at home against Hayward (7:00), while Dublin’s JV and Frosh Boys Basketball teams will be competing in preseason tournaments. The JV team is in the Acalanes Tournament while the Frosh team is in the Ygnacio Valley Tournament, with both teams tipping off on November 30th at 4:00.
In other action this week, the Varsity Boys Soccer team opened up its season with a 0-0 tie against Alameda in the 1st round of the Winter Soccer Classic. Dublin’s next tournament match will be on Saturday, December 2nd at Heritage High School in Brentwood (11:30 a.m..
