Spring Sports Start Next Week! Here’s How to Get Cleared and Contact Coaches

As the calendar turns to February, it means that the Spring athletic season is about to begin! Dublin High School offers 12 sports which compete in the East Bay Athletic League.

The first step for everyone interested in participating in a sport is to get cleared to try out. The clearance process is as follows:

STEP 1: VISIT ATHLETICCLEARANCE.COM : Choose “CA” and log-in. Return users – log into existing accounts; New users – create an account. Please register with a valid PARENT/GUARDIAN email address as the username and generate a password.

STEP 2: SELECT “START CLEARANCE HERE“: Type in school and confirm address. Select year and add sports.

STEP 3: COMPETE ALL REQUIRED FIELDS: Student Information, Parent/Guardian Information, Medical History, Consent Forms, Waivers, Policies, etc. Upload Physical and other forms as needed. Make sure to click “Save and Continue” following each step in the process, and hit “Submit” when completed.

STEP 4: CONFIRMATION MESSAGE: Student-athletes are not cleared until parents receive a confirmation message that all documents have been reviewed and everything is in order.

Since the spring season officially starts February 5th, anyone who hasn’t been cleared needs to get this taken care of by February 1st to ensure everything can be reviewed prior to try-outs. Please note that you must have a physical as part of the process within the past 12 months. If you cannot get an appointment in a timely manner from your own medical provider, AFC Urgent Care at 5311 Hopyard Road in Pleasanton takes walk-ins.

The exact dates, times, and locations for tryouts will be posted later this week, but in the meantime the contact information for all Varsity coaches is below. Please contact them directly if you aren’t already in touch with them to ensure they are aware of your interest in trying out and to ensure you are on the program’s email distribution list.
