Busy Weekend of NCS Action – Boys Basketball Home TONIGHT, Wrestling Tourney, Girls Soccer and Basketball Travel to Face EBAL Opponents

This weekend promises to be an exciting one for Dublin High School Athletics that will see its Boys and Girls Basketball teams, Girls Soccer team, and several Wrestlers compete in North Coast Section (NCS) events.

The action begins on Friday morning with the NCS Wrestling Tournament, as several Wrestlers advanced following their success at last weekend’s East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) Tournament. The contingent of Dublin wrestlers is highlighted by Lana Nguyen and Lavenda Hafoka, each whom won their respective weight classes at EBAL and are looking to return to the CIF State Meet this year. Yousuf Amin, Navjot Waraich, and Candice Carandang all finished in 2nd place at EBAL and have a great shot at earning a spot at the annual CIF event in Bakersfield. Other Dublin wrestlers who advanced out of the EBAL Championships to qualify for the NCS Tournament are Chris Halket, Chrstian Carandang, Hana Nguyen, Manahil Bajwa, April Montoya, and Inayah Alam.

Dublin’s basketball teams will be in the spotlight on Friday night as both the Boys and Girls teams will be competing simultaneously at 7:00 in the NCS Division 1 Quarterfinals. The Boys will be at home against Campolindo while the Girls will be on the road to face California.

Looking ahead to Saturday morning, the Girls Wrestling tournament continues at Albany High School with the Boys Wrestling tournament continuing at James Logan High School. On Saturday evening at 7:00, the Girls Soccer team will travel for its NCS Division 1 Quarterfinal match at San Ramon Valley High School.

Tickets for all of these events can be purchased on the NCS GoFan page.
