Dublin High School Hires Kylie Crandall as New Head Varsity Softball Coach

Dublin High School Athletics is pleased to announce that it has hired Kylie Crandall to become its new Head Varsity Softball Coach.

“I can’t wait to get to know Dublin High School’s athletes and families and am incredibly excited to get the season started,” Crandall said. “I’m looking forward to working together, building a strong team culture, and helping each of these student-athletes.”

Coach Crandall began playing softball at 7 years old, continuing through high school and with the Lady Sharks travel team. As a high school pitcher and shortstop, she was named MVP 2 times throughout her high school career.

At Foothill College, Crandall excelled as the main pitcher, setting records for most innings pitched in a season and most strikeouts in a game (14), with her riseball being a key weapon. During her first year, she received 2nd team all-conference and the MVP award. In her 2nd and final year at Foothill, she was team captain and received 1st team all-conference as well as the MVP award.

After transferring to Notre Dame De Namur University in Belmont, she made the Fall roster but inevitably decided to hang up her cleats and focus on her career and coaching. She received her BA in Human Services from NDNU Coaching Career: With over 10 years of coaching experience, Crandall has worked at various levels of the game starting as an assistant varsity and pitching coach at Mountain View High School before returning to Foothill College to coach for three seasons.

In addition, Crandall has been a Junior Varsity Head Coach and travel ball head coach, and continues to offer private pitching lessons and group clinics, helping athletes develop their skills and knowledge of the game.

“I aim to create a supportive environment that fosters growth, teamwork, and a love for softball, focusing on communication, effort, respect, and culture,” Crandall said.

Crandall takes over a program that reached the North Coast Section playoffs in 2024 at the Varsity level, with a competitive Junior Varsity team as well. Announcements will be forthcoming about a player meeting for those interested in trying out for the upcoming season.
