As we move deeper into the winter season, the remarkable streak of Dublin High Varsity teams remaining unbeaten continues after two more victories on Wednesday night.
In Varsity Boys Soccer, the Gaels came away with a 3-2 win over Piedmont. This was the team’s first win of the season to go with two ties. Dublin will take their undefeated record on the road tonight to Antioch before returning home on Friday evening to host Heritage at 7:00.
The Varsity Girls Basketball team improved its mark to 4-0 overall after a 70-46 home victory over Mission San Jose of Fremont. Dublin is now off until after Christmas, when it will be participating in its own gyms in the Pearl Division of the West Coast Jamboree. Specific matchups and game times are still to be determined.
In other highlights this week, the Don Nelson Classic (DNC) will be returning to Dublin High School. The 3-day Varsity Boys Basketball team features 8 teams and is named after Don Nelson, a 36-year educator at Dublin High School who coached multiple sports, served as Athletic Director, and was also the Commissioner for nearly 30 years for the East Bay Athletic League.
Dublin will be bringing its 8-0 record into the DNC as it opens up hosting Lathrop TONIGHT at 6:30.
