It is has been a solid start to the season for Dublin’s Boys and Girls Soccer teams, as 3 of the teams boast of undefeated records and two other teams are above the .500 mark. After taking some time off the pitch over Winter Break, both programs will be back in action later this week.
The Varsity Girls team is 3-0 overall to open up the season, while the Varsity Boys team is 1-0-4 after multiple matches with wild finishes. However, the best overall record of any soccer team belongs to the Junior Varsity Boys team, as they are 4-0-1 overall to open up the 2024-2025 campaign. The JV Girls and Frosh Girls also have winning records, while the Freshmen Boys come in with some momentum after defeating Antioch just prior to the Break.
This week, the Boys JV and Varsity Soccer teams will have their final tune-up before starting East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) play at home against Napa on Thursday, January 2nd (5:00/7:00). The Girls JV and Varsity teams will travel to face James Logan on January 4th before returning home to host College Park on Tuesday, January 7th (4:30/6:30) prior to the beginning of EBAL matches on January 9th.
In Wrestling, Dublin has had several top finishes at some of the region’s strongest tournaments over Winter Break. Lana Nguyen took 1st place at the Brittany David, while Navjot Waraich came in 3rd place. Nguyen also came in 3rd place at the prestigious WWCTOC. On the Boys side, Lytning Hazen came in 1st place at the Lou Bronzan Tournament and Yousuf Amin posted a 3rd place finish at the same event.
