The annual Silent Night has arrived, as the Dublin High Varsity Boys Basketball team hosts Foothill TONIGHT (Friday, January 17th) at 7:30. This is the 10th anniversary of a tradition started in 2015, where all students get free admission and remain absolutely silent until Dublin scores its 10th point, and then remains absolutely as loud as possible for the remainder of the game. Students are also eligible for free prizes and participate in several halftime activities.
This is a rematch of the Don Nelson Classic Championship game in December which the Gaels won 58-35. The Gaels come into tonight’s matchup with a 16-2 record overall following a week in which it won its East Bay Athletic League opener at Livermore before losing in overtime to California.
In other highlights this week, the Varsity Boys Soccer team went on the road to defeat Foothill 3-2 to pull back to .500 both overall and in league play. The Girls Soccer team tied the Falcons 0-0 and are 5-2-1 overall heading into the season’s final weeks.
After dropping its first game of the season, the Varsity Girls Basketball team has back-to-back contests this weekend as they travel to face Foothill TONIGHT (Friday, January 17th) at 7:30 before returning home to face San Marin on Saturday, January 18th at 5:30
