Huge Win for Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer Looks to Bounce Back at Home on Saturday

The Dublin High School Varsity Girls Soccer team had one of its most impressive victories in the East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) after defeating Monte Vista 4-0 at home on Thursday night. Emma San had 2 goals to help lead the Gaels improve their record to 6-3-1 overall (2-2-1 in EBAL).

Dublin needs just one win in its final 4 contests to qualify for a North Coast Section berth. The Gaels travel to face Amador Valley on Tuesday before returning home to face Granada on Thursday, January 30th (6:30).

Despite tough losses to EBAL powers De La Salle and Monte Vista, Dublin’s Varsity Boys Soccer team remain in contention for a North Coast Section (NCS) berth. The Gaels added a home match for TOMORROW (Saturday, January 25th) at Noon against Freedom, and need a win to get back near a .500 overall winning percentage, which is the qualifying mark to earn a postseason bid.

In other soccer action, the Junior Varsity Boys Soccer team remains unbeaten and improved to 8-0-3 overall after defeating De La Salle 4-2 on Tuesday night.
