For the past several years, two of Dublin Unified School District’s middle schools ( Fallon and Cottonwood) have been participating in NASP (National Archery in the School Program). Emerald High School started participating since its inception last year, and for the first time ever Dublin High School also participated in the NASP California State Tournament year.
The tournament was held at Fallon Middle School with 70+ students, which included 5 members from the DHS Archery Club participated in the tournament securing great scores. Nayanika Das Roy secured 1st place in the tournament by scoring 274/300. She also ranked 4th in the State of California across all girls divisions and qualified for the Western Nationals happening in Utah( Apr 24-26).
This opportunity was made possible due to the tireless efforts of the DHS Archery club, with the help and support of Chris Branson from Emerald and Eric Lamonica of Fallon. The DHS Archery team is expanding and plans to continue participating in NASP in the upcoming years.
