The biggest weekend of the season is fast approaching for Dublin High School’s Boys Golf, Swim, and Badminton programs as the East Bay Athletic League championships begin for each sport.
This week’s championship events start right away, as the Boys Golf team tees off at Crow Canyon Country Club in San Ramon at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28th. Although the Gaels won’t be able to qualify for the North Coast Section playoffs as a team, it is anticipated that multiple players may qualify for the upcoming NCS tournaments depending upon their performance at the EBAL Tournament.
The Badminton team will have its final regular season match on Tuesday, April 29th as it hosts Dougherty Valley in the Auxiliary Gym (4:30) before heading to Monte Vista to compete in the EBAL tournament on Saturday, May 3rd. The top 6 finishers in each category (Boys Singles, Girls Singles, Boys Doubles, Girls Doubles, Mixed Doubles) will advance to the NCS Tournament the following weekend. Saturday’s EBAL Tournament will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to last all day.
Similarly, the top finishers in each event at this weekend’s EBAL Swim Championships will also advance to NCS. The EBAL Swim Meet will take place all day on Friday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 3rd at Dougherty Valley High School.
