Jeff Baker Hired as New Varsity Wrestling Coach

Dublin High School Athletics is pleased to announce that Jeff Baker has been hired as the new Varsity Wrestling Coach at Dublin High School. Baker replaces Sam Durham who stepped down after leading the program for the past 7 years, a tenure which is noted by the growth and success of the girls team.

Baker began his coaching career as an assistant wrestling coach at Eureka High School
in 1995. In 2000, he moved to San Ramon and started coaching at Dublin High,
where he was an assistant coach for six seasons. Jeff then took a break from
coaching to raise his four children with his wife Jennifer.

Jeff wrestled for four years in high school at St. Ignatius in San Francisco, then
attended UC Davis where he wrestled for five years while earning a Bachelor’s
Degree in Psychology before moving on to a 30-year career in the Fire Service.
Jeff has also coached younger kids with Tri-Valley Elite Wrestling Club in Dublin and
has backgrounds in both Judo and Jiu Jitsu

“I am excited to be coaching again and happy to be back at Dublin High, Baker said”
