At its most recent meeting on February 25th, the Athletic Directors of the East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) season the start and end dates for the remainder of outdoor sports. The Boys and Girls Soccer season are now set to take place from April 19-May 29, Boys Lacrosse was slated for April 5-May 29, while the start and end dates for Track and Field were slightly adjusted and now run from March 29-April 29.
The latest announcements from the EBAL are the latest in a series that have been made since the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) cleared the way for all outdoor sports to get underway with the release of its revised Youth Sports Guidelines. Football season was able to start on February 23 and will go until April 17. Other sports about to get started include Girls Lacrosse (March 1-April 24) along with Baseball and Softball (March 8-May 22). Sports in the Purple tier which are already within their season include Cross Country, Swimming/Diving, Boys/Girls Golf, and Boys/Girls Tennis. Decisions regarding indoor sports are still on hold until Alameda County reaches the Yellow tier.
