The Dublin High School Varsity Boys Lacrosse team trailed Dougherty Valley by multiple goals on two occasions, fought back in the 4th quarter to send the game to overtime before falling to the Wildcats 5-4.
Dougherty Valley dominated the early-going, controlling play and keeping the ball in Dublin’s half of the field for 11 of the 12-minute opening period. Despite that fact, Gaels’ goalkeeper Ben Gilmour did a valiant job making several big saves to keep the Gaels in the game early, as Dublin trailed just 1-0 when the period was over. In total, Gilmour finished with 12 saves.
Offensively, Dublin was led by Alex Chau who finished with 2 goals and an assist on another goal by Alex Magnuson. Nico Guerrero also scored a goal for the Gaels on an assist by Eddie Padnos.
