Dublin High School Athletics is pleased to announce that Jered Lui has been hired as the new Varsity Girls Soccer Coach at Dublin High School.
Jered grew up playing competitive soccer in Dublin and is a 2009 graduate of Dublin High School. As a player, Jered was a team leader that helped build a championship culture in our Boys Soccer program that ultimately produced 2 NCS titles at DHS (2010 and 2014). After graduating from UC Irvine, Jered returned to Dublin to become a Science teacher at Fallon Middle School where he still works today. Jered also lives in Dublin and in recent months just became a father.
In addition to teaching, upon Jered‘s return he immediately turned his passion for soccer as a player into coaching. Jered served as an Assistant Varsity Girls Soccer Coach from 2015-2019 and as an Assistant JV Boys Soccer Coach at Dublin High School from 2019-2020. At the club level, Jered has been a head coach for both Dublin United and Ballistic United. Jered has also been an Assistant Coach for Cal North ODP and recently received his National USSF C Coaching License.
For those interested, there are voluntary “playdates” taking place at the Stadium from 10:00-11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 11th, Wednesday, July 20th, and Wednesday, August 3rd. If anyone has any questions regarding the program wishing to contact Coach Lui directly, he can be reached at luijered@dublinusd.org.
We are excited to welcome Jered back to his alma mater and are confident that participants in the Girls Soccer program will have both a positive and competitive experience under his leadership.
