The Dublin High School Varsity Girls Soccer and Basketball teams each posted victories on Tuesday in their final tune-ups for East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) contests which begin this week.
It was a particularly impressive win for the Girls Soccer team, which overcame both injuries and illnesses as they went on the road for a gritty 1-0 win over Castro Valley. The Gaels went into the match with just 15 players and finished with a mere 12 before holding the Trojans to a shutout. Dublin heads into their EBAL opener this Thursday, January 5th against Amador Valley (6:30) with an overall record of 4-1.
The Girls Basketball team posted their 3rd consecutive victory by defeating Notre Dame (San Jose) at home 66-43. Dublin jumped out to a 37-17 halftime lead and never looked back as they improved to 9-4 overall this season. The Gael’s EBAL home opener is TONIGHT (Wednesday, January 4th at 7:00)
