Dublin Goes for Tri-Valley Hockey Championship TONIGHT at 8:00 p.m. at Dublin Iceland

Dublin will be playing for a Tri-Valley Hockey Championship TONIGHT (Monday, May 13th) at 8:00 p.m. against De La Salle at Dublin Iceland. Although hockey is not officially a CIF-sanctioned sport, all of the local high schools field club teams that compete in a league comprised by all of the East Bay Athletic League schools.

The Gaels come into the contest with a record of 7-2 overall, while De La Salle is undefeated at 9-0. In their encounter earlier this season, the Gaels were tied 3-3 with the Spartans early in the 3rd period before giving up 2 goals in quick succession and then a final goal in the waning seconds to fall 6-3. Dublin advanced to tonight’s championship after defeating Granada 7-3 in the semifinals, avenging a 6-2 loss from earlier in the season.

Russell Louie leads the team wit 26 goals, an impressive average of nearly 3 goals per game. Jonathan Adrian is second on the team with 13 goals scored, but leads the team in assists with 15. William Wadington is another scoring threat with 12 goals and 8 assists, while Alexander Owens is another who helps set the table for the offense with 10 assists.

Admission for those planning to attend in person is free, and the game can also be viewed online through LiveBarn.
