The Dublin High School Varsity Boys Soccer team continued their winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Irvington on November 30th in their season opener. Coming off an undefeated 2021 season, the Gaels struck quickly against the Vikings by scoring 2 goals in the first 15 minutes of play. Dublin remained up 2-0 for most of the contest before scoring 2 late goals to put away the match. The Junior Varsity squad prevailed over Irvington 5-0, and both the JV and Varsity Boys soccer teams will be back in action at Gaels Stadium on Saturday afternoon (December 4th) against Deer Valley (2:00/4:15).

Another team which had success in their season opener was the Varsity Girls Basketball team. Dublin was powered by a dominant defensive performance, limiting their opponent (and tournament host team) Golden Valley High School of Merced to just 8 points for the entire game and coming away with a 49-8 victory. The Gaels advance to tonight’s semifinals where they will be taking in Beyer High School of Modesto at 8:00 p.m.

In other Varsity action on Thursday, the Girls Varsity Soccer team produced a clean sheet defensively but were unable to get on the board against American and settled for a 0-0 tie. Dublin remains undefeated at 2-0-1 overall and will be back in action tonight at Gaels Stadium against Kennedy-Fremont at 5:00 p.m.

Other featured home events for tonight include the JV and Varsity Boys Basketball doubleheader against Antioch in the Sports Complex (5:30/7:00) . Admission is free to all athletic events with a DHS Digital Sports pass and/or an ASB sticker For those purchasing tickets, the Dublin High School GoFan page for all events is here.

Several other programs are in action this weekend as well.
