Due to the change in the East Bay Athletic League format and the need to play every team once by February 6th (without needing to play any teams twice with single round robin), several changes have been made to the Boys and Girls Basketball schedules.
The Boys will still host California on January 25th, but everything else has changed. Dublin is now hosting San Ramon Valley on Thursday, January 27th, a game which will take place in the Auxiliary (old) Gym since the Wrestling team already had a Dual Meet rescheduled to the Sports Complex. Dublin will then have its Senior Night at its home finale on Friday, January 28th against Livermore. Next week, Dublin will be on the road to face Dougherty Valley on February 1st and concludes the regular season at Monte Vista on Friday, February 4th.
Similarly, tonight’s Girls game at California remains unchanged from the original schedule along with their contest at Foothill on Saturday, January 29th. However, Dublin will now travel to face San Ramon Valley on Thursday, January 27th (instead of February 10th) and will host Monte Vista on Tuesday, February 1st a week earlier than previously scheduled. The Girls’ team will still be hosting Dougherty Valley on Thursday, February 3rd, but this will now be their Senior Night.
Previously league contests on older versions of the Girls schedule between Dublin/Livermore (January 27th), Dublin/Granada (February 1), Dublin/Amador Valley (February 5), and Dublin/Foothill (February 7) are no longer taking place. On the Boys side, Dublin/Foothill (January 29) and Dublin/Granada (February 1) will not take place, and previously postponed games between Dublin/Amador Valley (January 5) and Dublin/Livermore (January 14) will not be rescheduled.
Other contests at the lower levels which still remain to be scheduled include a JV/Frosh doubleheader at De La Salle, while the Frosh are also looking to make up games against Foothill and possibly Amador Valley.
The bracket for the East Bay Athletic League Tournament will be posted on February 6th to determine the schedule for tournament games from February 7-12. More info to follow as brackets are announced.
