UPDATE – ONLY VARSITY Boys Basketball Game Moved to Dublin High Sports Complex – TONIGHT @ 7:30

Due to a potential gas leak, out of an abundance of caution  school officials from both Dublin High and Kennedy High (Fremont) have decided to reschedule tonight’s boys basketball tripleheader that was originally scheduled to take place at Kennedy.

The Varsity Boys Basketball game has been MOVED TO DUBLIN HIGH SCHOOL and will take place TONIGHT in the Sports Complex at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free with a DHS Digital Sports pass and/or an ASB sticker. For those purchasing tickets, the Dublin High School GoFan page for all events is here. Tonight’s game will also be live-streamed on GaelsTV.

One highlight for tonight to look forward to in the Varsity game is the debut of Mekhi Thomas. Thomas is a highly regarded player who transferred to Dublin High from Arroyo and has had to complete his official Sit Out Period (SOP) due to North Coast Section/CIF Eligibility rules. The Varsity team is coming into tonight’s game with an overall record of 5-3 after winning its own tournament (Don Nelson Classic) this weekend.

The Junior Varsity and Freshmen Boys Basketball games have been officially postponed. The date, time, and location of those games will be announced as soon as a mutually agreeable opportunity to play is identified. Both the Junior Varsity and Freshmen teams are coming off of wins over Moreau Catholic on Monday night. The JV team now has a record of 6-2 overall, while the Freshmen squad is 10-1 overall after winning both the Pittsburg and San Lorenzo Tournaments earlier in the month.
